About Leslie

Leslie loves words, books and writing.  She enjoys speaking and sharing her passion with others. When not writing mystery and romance novels, Leslie can be found volunteering for writer events, leading Write Night, a weekly facilitated writing critique group, teaching beginning writing in adult ed, correcting others’ grammar, talking about writing, thinking about writing, and once in a while, sleeping. Leslie is a cheerleader for others; she mentors, trains, and coaches writers to be the best they can be.

Leslie is a board member for the Northwest Chapter of Mystery Writers of America and a member of Sisters in Crime. She is also a member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association and Romance Writers of America.

Leslie has written eight novels, screenplays, and numerous non-fiction articles. Her Kaitlyn Willis Road Signs Mystery Series debuted in February 2021.  

Leslie has various speaking engagements throughout the year including her workshops at conferences including Write on the Sound, PNWA, Write In the Harbor, and other Pacific Northwest Writing Events.

Leslie has previously written and taught classes as Leslie Adkins.
